About the Artist

Ausa J Hylton My name is Ausa Julia Hylton. I live in Salem, Oregon. I am an oil painter, watercolorist, wife and mama. Lover of things whimsical and magical. I gather inspiration from animals, plants, and all things earth related. I include humans in that as we are a part of the natural world even when we are not actively connecting to the richness and beauty surrounding us.

I have an educational background in fine arts and graphic design. A BFA from Oregon State University in 2006 and an AAS in graphic design from Linn-Benton Community College in 2010. (although, education does not make an artist :)
